Casual Spring Dresses

Even though the temperatures in Chicago this week are still way below freezing, the calendar says it’s spring, and I’m dreaming of dresses. Here are some of the styles I have my eye on for when the weather finally warms up!

Butterfly Maxi Dress : The colors, the ruffle sleeves, the butterflies! This dress is gorgeous.

Blue Square Neck Dress: The square neckline and straps make this simple a-line dress special, but still perfect for everyday.

White Dress with Blue Flowers: Ah! This dress is just so pretty. The tie sleeves, the print, the length of the skirt…perfection.

Blue Striped Dress : This sundress is such a great staple for spring and summer. Also, did I mention it’s from Target and costs less than $30?

Blue Dress with White Flowers: This is like the laid-back sister of the white dress with blue flowers. I love them both! The tiered skirt and white flowers give it a more modern vibe.

Periwinkle Gauze Dress: I just love this periwinkle color, and the Madewell lightspun fabric is AMAZING. I think this dress would be so great in a beach vacation wardrobe, worn with flat sandals or doubling as a bathing suit coverup.

Black and Blue Floral Dress : I’m obsessed with everything about this dress, but I think I love the print the most. I’m thinking it would go well with sandals or espadrilles for casual wear, or dressed up a little with a strappy heel, like these from Sezane.

Paisley Print Dress : I love these colors for summer, and the white piping detail is such a sweet detail.

Blush Seersucker Dress: OK, to be honest, this dress reminds me a little of a nightgown, but, like, in a good way? It would be the best for a lazy sunny day, spent reading books and drinking iced coffee.

Green Floral Dress: I am so into florals this spring, and green is always a favorite of mine.

Yellow Tie-Waist Dress: This dress has such a beautiful print and drape, and I love the peekaboo panel in the skirt.

Pink Button-Down Dress: Another Madewell lightspun fabric dress in a shorter length, with the cutest buttons down the front. I’ve seen this dress showing up a lot in people’s spring break pictures and it looks like another great beach dress!

Floral Tiered Dress: I love the thought of this dress styled with sandals for summer, but I think it could even work with tan or brown boots and a cardigan or jacket for now.

Orange Seersucker Dress: I can’t get enough of relaxed-waist, button-front dresses! I don’t usually go for orange (red? Madewell calls this shade “afterglow red”), but the muted poppy shade of this one is just right.
